Conference Program Questions

Page history last edited by Roman Koshykar 3 yrs ago

Q: There are so many sessions that I want to attend but they are at the same time. Can you help me decide on a strategy?

A: CIL provides a book of handouts for many of the sessions which comes in your registration package. It is updated online at the end of the conference (see last year's conference site, www.infotoday.com/cil2005, for a look at presentation links). In addition, there is a CD for sale at the conference and on the web site which includes audio files of the sessions to compliment these handouts. Jane Dysart, CIL Program Chair

A2: Do not feel bad about getting up mid-session and dashing over to a new session. For each time block, mark down a preferred session and then a back up or two. If you find the first session is too full or not what you'd hoped, get up and dash to the second. The bloggers tend to sit toward the back where there are outlets, but there are entrances at the front and at the back, so you can sit on the side on the front to get out easier. -Christina Pikas

Q: I'd like to share links and slides from several of the presentations with my co-workers who didn't attend the conference. Does anyone know how soon the presentations will be posted on the CIL web site? - RK, RIT

A: I answered my own question - some slides are already available on the CIL web site (as of 3/29), and more are sure to follow, so just an FYI for others who may still be wiki-ing. - RK, RIT
