I'm the Digital Initiatives Librarian at the Wyoming State Library, and the project manager for the fledgling Wyoming Newspaper Project. I am also the current president of the Wyoming Library Association. I'm attending my second CIL. When I attended CIL2003, I was sicker than a dog. I hope to enjoy this conference much more, and get out and network, and not spread the flu!

Monday: Fly into DCA from CYS/DEN, go to the Spy Museum and/or the NMAI if I have time. Ok, with the winter storm that was in the area for three days, it took me all day to get to DC, and without my luggage. Anyone got a toothbrush? Anyone know where to get some clothes in the area?

Tuesday: Go get clothes & a pair of dress shoes, maybe do some touristy stuff, then attend the "Building Taxonomies for Information Retrieval" preconference. Go to the "Web Design & Usability" dine-around at Thaiphoon.

Wednesday: Sticking to Track B "Web Design & Development."

Thursday: Also sticking to Track B "Digital Libraries" and definitely listening in on Stephen Abram's talk about "Digitization Issues & Challenges". When I saw that on the preliminary schedule, I begged the "boss" to let me go. And, of course, she did. She loves Stephen.

Friday: Probably sticking to Track D "Digital Trends" but maybe mixing some digi reference and digi systems in there. Or, maybe I'll play hookie...just kidding, boss!

Saturday morning: Fly out of DCA to DEN and then CYS where the weather should be nice and all the snow gone!
